Your body is a temple. Have you ever heard that phrase? It is usually used to warn you against doing anything that would damage your body, like abusing drugs or alcohol, or deciding to jump off of the fifth story into a pool. It is also sometimes used to ward off people from getting a tattoo.
Tattoos are much more common and socially accepted now than ever before. There is still plenty of negative stigma against them, but not nearly as much as years past. People will often get memes or TV show characters tattooed on themselves, even though those two things can be incredibly fleeting.
They say to never get a tattoo of your significant other's name on it or else you might look very foolish if they ever leave you. The same goes for a person's face, which was an especially bad idea for this husband who decided to get a tattoo of his wife's face - her ugly, sleeping face.
If you really wanted to prove to someone that you loved them, the one thing you could do is get a tattoo commemorating them. The tattoo could be their name, or if you wanted to get really extreme, it could be a tattoo of their face. Married people in a committed relationship might really appreciate an act like that, but not if the tattoo was unflattering.
James McGraw is a 40 year old window cleaner from the UK who didn't get the memo on avoiding unflattering tattoos of your spouse. It all started when his wife Kelly played a joke on him by giving him a bad haircut. McGraw decided to get back at her in a very strange way. He got a tattoo of her based off of a photo of her sleeping on a plane with her mouth agape.
James McGraw had taken a sneaky selfie of his wife as she slept on an airplane. Her head is tilted back and her mouth open. It is not the type of picture you'd want immortalized on the internet or on someone's body. That's exactly what McGraw did. He tattooed the picture on his body. Needless to say, his wife was completely horrified.
The two of them share a special bond of pranking each other, as is evident by the bad haircut she gave him that sparked the tattoo. It is something they have done for the past 24 years with each other, but according to Kelly, "there's a line and he's crossed it big time." James had posted a picture of the tattoo on social media with the caption "don't know what her problem is... everyone else seems to like it."
People on the internet were divided over the prank. Some people called McGraw a legend and other said "can't stop laughing every time I see this." Others weren't so happy about it, sayinjg things like "I think it's both ugly and mean," and others saying they would kill their husbands if they did this. A married couple would have to have a very special relationship to be able to get past something as dastardly and bizarre as this prank.
Kelly has come around to the ugly tattoo since he first got it. Now she can't help but laugh at it whenever she sees it. She is planning revenge though, saying, "I'll think of something to get him back, but it's going to have to be really, really bad to top that." James is admittedly scared.
