Your attitude can affect a lot about what happens to you in life. Life is all about attitude. You could choose to look at things negatively, or you could choose to look at them positively. Sure, there are some things that are just plain bad, but that doesn't mean we need to let them control us.
A positive attitude can help with a myriad of things, like maintaining your friendships or making new ones. It can also help in the workplace. Who would you rather spend eight hours a day with, someone who is negative all the time, or someone who makes the day a little bit easier?
As silly as it sounds, being positive can make a huge impact for those around you. Your own positivity can bring out the best in those around you, which should be reason enough to adopt that kind of attitude. Just look at Jeremiah Murril, a Chick-Fil-A employee who went viral for being so positive.
There are viral sensations every day. Sometimes these viral sensations are born from tremendous embarrassment, like someone attempting a backflip and failing epically, but in this case, the person went viral for all the right reasons. A video of a Chick-Fil-A drive-thru employee is making thousands across the internet feel all warm and mushy inside. Latoya Liles was hoping for that exact reaction when she drove to her local North Carolina Chick-Fil-A to film one of her favorite Chick-Fil-A employees by the name of Jeremiah Murrill. Every day Jeremiah greets everyone he sees with a giant smile and a big welcome.
Latoya Liles is a 35 year old woman who told TODAY food, "I wanted the world to see that there are good people out there. It's a tough time that we're in right now."
The video was filmed my Latoya Liles earlier in the month and shows Jeremiah Murrill being utterly charming as he compliments Liles and her daughter on what they had ordered and even connects with them on the fact that he also doesn't like tomatoes on his sandwiches. Murrill doesn't just stop there. When Liles hands over her credit card, Murrill gives her one of his patented lines, "you're one swipe away from an awesome lunch meal," and teases that there are two more things that she needs, "you know what that is? It's a fist bump each. You guys are awesome.
You may be thinking that Murrill was playing up for the camera, but according to Liles, he is always like that, which is what prompted her to come with her camera read on that particular visit.
Jeremiah Murrill is a sensation in his community. Liles told TODAY, "hundreds of people have commented that they have had the same exact experience with Jeremiah. He's left his mark on so many." What makes Liles even more incredible is that he's somehow able to remember everyone's name, making them feel extra special. Murrill's dream is to own his own Chick-Fil-A franchise, and as the current trainer for drive-thru employees, he's well on his way.
In an email statement, he said, "I'm so humbled by the attention this video is receiving. I just want to help people in any way I can, so seeing someone's day transformed by a little kindness is amazing." For those looking to chase fame and attention, they could learn a thing or two from Murrill who gained his fame from the simple act of being kind.
