48. Thelma And Louise

This film is the absolute epitome of rebellious girl power and we can never get enough of it. Starring Geena Davis as Thelma and Susan Sarandon as Louise, it basically contains everything a woman could ask for in a film - a road trip, murder, robbery, badass ladies, plenty of feminist themes, and of course, an adorable young Brad Pitt. Though it ends in tragedy, it was and still is extremely popular with female audiences.

The 1991 film was controversial when it was first released, but it is now considered a timeless classic. It received six Academy Award nominations and received one for Best Screenplay. Both Sarandon and Davis were nominated for Best Actress, which is practically unheard of for the same film. All in all, it's a must-see if you haven't already had the pleasure.
