13. Kristen Stewart

She's come a long way since she starred as Sarah Altman, the daughter of Jodie Foster's character in the 2002 film "Panic Room", but Kirsten Stewart was still barely an adult when she hit the spotlight as Bella Swan in the first of five "Twilight" movies based on the vampire-romance saga written by Stephenie Meyer. While her performances in the Twilight movies were billed as "flat" and one-dimensional and have received lackluster reviews online, Kirsten Stewart has since proven her top-notch acting chops by taking on a diverse array of roles, including 2012's "Snow White and the Huntsman".

Lately however, this Los Angeles-born actress and film director has gravitated towards more independent projects over big-budget Hollywood films. One such project, "Clouds of Sils Maria" premiered at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival in France. She subsequently won a Cesar Award for Best Supporting Actress from the Academie des Arts et Techniques du Cinema for the role.
