Sail in the Whitsundays in Australia

The Whitsundays are a chain of continental islands located off the coast of Northern Australia (Queensland to be more precise). The islands are about 560 miles north of the city of Brisbane, and the sights they offer are incredible. While you can travel on the islands, many recommend that you take a boat tour to sail between the numerous islands.

The island group itself is centered around Whitsunday Island (the island that gave the group its name), although that is not the commercial center. The collection's commercial center is Hamilton Island, which is another recommended site to see. The traditional owners of the land over there are the Ngaro and Gia people. The island collection has also named as one of Australia's most popular natural attractions, and judging by the photos, we have to agree.
