Sleepless in Seattle is one of those rare movies that was a hit at the box office, as well as with the critics. It was nominated for two Academy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards.
This one is not your typical plot. It involves a man named Sam (Hanks) and his son Jonah, who are grieving the loss of their wife and mother. Annie (Ryan), a reporter, becomes interested in Sam's story, but there's too many things getting in the way and they don't end up meeting properly until the very end of the film.
