Released in 2007, Enchanted is a Disney princess film with a modern-day twist.
Set in New York City, it has all the markers of a Disney story - naïve and beautiful princess, dashingly handsome prince, evil witch who tries to destroy it all, and her loyal henchmen who inevitably mess things up by being total idiots. Reception was surprisingly good on release, with most media outlets giving it favorable reviews. This was unexpected due to the nature of the film's concept. It's definitely one of our favorite girly films to watch.
