Put the kibosh on it. Don't want to do this job anymore? Put the kibosh on it. You can basically put the kibosh on anything - it's so useful. And yet almost everyone gets it wrong.
This word is not pronounced "ki-bosh". We know that's the way you and everyone else has said it for your whole life, but it's not right. It should be "key-bosh", which somehow just doesn't seem as good.
